Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2002, Sebastien became the first Canadian with diabetes to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 2008. He then went on to complete 5 Ironman races and The Sahara Race, a gruelling 250 km ultra marathon across the desert in Egypt. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Sebastien speak! Join us for the Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation’s annual fundraiser! More than 45,000 people across Canada along with 5 other countries come together as a community committed to raising funds for research to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D)! Register today, raise funds and join us in our goal of raising $8 million!
Food and entertainment are provided, along with fun activities for the kids! Pledge forms drop off 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The Walk begins at 1:00 pm.
